Croquembouche in the Thermomix

Profiteroles would have to one of those dishes that Thermomix makes in a breeze.  If you haven't tried them yet, you must!


With the help of my girls, we made this croquembouche last weekend, for my sister's baby shower.  We've never attempted a croquembouche before and it was a bit of fun (and a little bit of stress, if the truth be told).  Transporting it from one side of Melbourne to the other was also a challenge. 

The Thermmoix really comes into it's own for any recipe that calls for standing over a stove and stirring.  Profiteroles are a perfect example, not to mention the creme patisserie we filled them with.

I took my guidance from this great post that I found on Not Quite Nigella.  The recipe I used for both the profiteroles and the creme pattiserie (custard) was from the Thermomix Everyday Cookbook.

Our croquembouche was no masterpiece, I'll give it that. Though it certainly prettties up a table and a croquembouche has been requested by both  my girls for their birthday cake.
